Montgomery Boat Fight
The unity shown in this moment was beautiful. People saw a man in need and jumped into action. They may have saved his life. The captain or co-captain could have been beaten to death. I applaud their bravery and unity.
Seeing the videos reminded me of a scene from my upcoming novel, Beauty of Love.
The love they showed a "man down", is the love one of my characters showed to his neighbors. He saw them in need and helped.
My character was walking home from work and saw his neighbors/friends being assaulted by people he did not recognize. He called some more friends for back up, just in case weapons were drawn. Once he saw his back up coming, my character ran to the commotion and started swinging.
The attackers fell back then ran away. He was his brother's keeper and the boat fighters were the same. Unity is beautiful. Love is beautiful. Give a helping hand or move out of the way.🤎
